About
How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”—Isaiah 52:7
We, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, are among those who have been united to Christ, and who have been made heirs to His Kingdom, by the power of His Word and Sacraments. And so we are a people of joy! For because we are united to Christ, we will be united with Him in the resurrection to come!
Because we have this joy of Christ’s promise, we hold ourselves to be a people of the Word:
- A people who gather together, as one body, around the Word found in the Scriptures, in proclamation, and in the Sacraments, all flowing from the Word Incarnate, Jesus Christ.
- And a people who also then are called to go forth and proclaim to all the world the promises of Jesus.
What joy we have in Jesus! How wonderful the opportunity to be able to share this gift with others! How blessed are we, as children of God, to be able to turn to each other, and even to the whole world, and proclaim: “Look, Zion! Your God reigns!”
